This month’s theme, “God’s Daily Call,” focuses on recognizing and responding to God’s call in the ordinary circumstances of our daily lives. As we reflect on the beautiful vocation of marriage, we are reminded that it shapes our path to heaven. In a special way, we will also honor Our Lady as we reflect on the great Feast of the Assumption.

Marriage is a sacrament, a supernatural vocation instituted by Christ, and a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. It sanctifies the spouses and transforms married life into an opportunity to live continually in God’s presence. We are called not only to make our own marriages holy but also to sanctify others through the witness of our married lives.

To strengthen and deepen their union, married couples are called to cultivate the virtues of generosity, fortitude, and prudence. These virtues help enkindle and sustain the furnace of love between husband and wife. We also need the courage to uphold and defend the dignity of marriage in today’s world. Preparing our children for their future marriages begins with continually improving and strengthening our own.

Please feel free to share this invitation with any woman who would like to deepen her relationship with Jesus in the Eucharist.

Blessings,
Elise and Raylene
