Corpus Christi Procession

Corpus Christi Procession

Honour the True Presence of Our Lord at the Barton Village Corpus Christi Procession on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

This event is a collaboration between St. Ann, St. Stephen of Hungary, Our Lady of All Souls, and the Sisters Poor of Jesus Christ, bringing together our Catholic community in a show of Eucharistic devotion.

Event Overview

The procession will start at the conclusion of the 11:30 am Mass at St. Ann, and end at Our Lady of All Souls Parish with Benediction and a celebratory potluck. We will enter into each church along the way for prayers.

Our goal is to foster a greater love of and devotion to the Holy Eucharist and help inspire belief in the Real Presence both within the church community and without through the public witness of the procession.

Schedule & Route

  • 1:00 pm - St. Ann - 120 Sherman Ave. N

  • 1:20 pm - Sisters Poor of Jesus Christ - 177 Sanford Ave. N

  • 1:45 pm - St. Stephen of Hungary - 130 Barton St. E

  • 2:10 pm - Our Lady of All Souls - 21 Barton St. W

How to Participate

There are 3 ways you can take part in the procession:

Option 1 - Wait Along the Route

Forma line from the steps of St. Ann’s Church and along Barton St. all the way to All Souls. Await Our Lord in silence while praying the rosary. Once Our Lord passes by, join the procession.

Option 2 - Meet Us at One of the Stops

Check out the timing above and meet us at one of the churches we will be stopping at for prayers. Please arrive 15-30 mins before Our Lord is scheduled to arrive. Once Our Lord passes by, join the procession.

Option 3 - Follow the Whole Way

Follow behind the procession as it exits St. Ann’s Church and follow for the entire route. If you are not attending the 11:30 am Mass, please arrive by 12:45 pm as we expect to proceed out the church doors no later than 1 pm.

Conduct Guidelines

The Eucharist Procession ought to be treated with the same devotion one gives to Eucharistic Adoration.

Traffic Safety

Follow all instructions given by the police and marshals during the procession.

The police will block traffic as we approach intersections and move the blockades along with the procession. Traffic will resume as normal once the police blockade leaves the intersection. If you fall behind the police traffic blockades, you must walk on the sidewalk and follow crossing signals.

This is a critical safety issue. Do not walk on the roads if you have fallen behind the procession and the police have vacated the area.

Parking

Parking is available at all of the parish churches that are participating in the procession. The City of Hamilton also maintains several public parking lots along the procession route; a map of municipal lots is available here.

We anticipate that the parking lots at the beginning (St. Ann) and end (All Souls) of the procession route will fill up quickly, so please consider arriving early or parking along the route.

Potluck

We will be celebrating the end of the procession with a Potluck Social at the All Souls Parish Hall following Benediction.

Do you have something tasty to share with us? Food for the potluck can be dropped off to the All Souls Parish Hall after 11:00 am.

We recommend using a piece of tape label your potluck dishes with your family name so that it doesn’t get mixed up!
