Blessing Your Chariots

The Masses on Sunday, June 1st at St. Ann Hamilton ended with a blessing. “At the end of the Mass, after the Regina Caeli, I would like to offer a blessing for all of your vehicles” said Father Jeff from the ambo. “In the older English, your chariots.”

After each of the Masses, all of the vehicles in both of the parking lots and on the surrounding streets were blessed. Then, with a few of the servers, Fathers Jeff and Bob ventured into the parking lot to sprinkle all of the cars with Holy water.

“When we're driving around often many of us — I know I do as well — we pray in our cars. So it's good to have our car blessed, to be a place where we can do these prayers and benefit from them.”
