Sept 19: Catholic Young Adults Conference

Young adults from across the Diocese of Hamilton are invited to a full day of talks, worship, and prayer at St. Raphael's Parish in Burlington. The Mini Conference is a collaboration among young adult communities in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, Milton, Georgetown, and beyond — a chance to meet other Catholics your age who are trying to take the faith seriously.

The day runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and includes three talks, a panel discussion, live praise and worship, art booths, group activities, Adoration, and Confession. It closes with Mass celebrated by Bishop Wayne Lobsinger.

This year's sessions

  • How to Hear God's Voice — discerning God's voice over our own, and whether God has a plan for us

  • Waiting in Hope — finding hope when nothing seems to be happening, and waiting well in uncertain times

  • AI, Ethics, and the Human Person — a panel on safeguarding the human person in the age of AI and navigating ethical pressure at work

  • Healing & Wholeness in Christ — a compassionate talk on being accepted, loved, and transformed by Christ, with guided meditation

Speakers include Rev. Mark Morley, Fr. Edmund Lo SJ, Fr. Adam Zettel LC, Sr. Maria Immaculata SOLI, Sr. Maria Filotea SSVM, Patrick Brophy, and Eric Van den Berghe.
