We are happy to share the news that St. Ann’s will be getting a new roof. After much careful planning, the Diocese has approved our request to begin this project. We are very grateful to Bishop Dabrowski for his support and encouragement in moving this important project forward.
A contract has now been signed, and work will begin on June 1st with a clear purpose in mind—not only to protect our church, but to honor the beauty and heritage that has been entrusted to us.
The original roof, which has lasted over 100 years, was made of slate and had a design pattern.
In keeping with that tradition, the new roof will also be slate, a durable material lasting 75 years or more. You will notice the drawings, created by our parishioner Daniel Maio- Marques, which illustrate both the overall design and a close-up of the beautiful pattern of our new roof.
The cost of this project is $900,000. Our finance council has been preparing and saving for this big expense, knowing that it was coming. Fr. Oehring will share more about how we are paying for it.
We will want to do some fundraising... maybe you have a great idea to help?
