New Heraldic Shields and Portraits Installed at St. Ann's

Visitors to St. Ann's will notice two new additions above the front doors of the church: heraldic shields bearing the coats of arms of Pope Leo XIV and our diocesan bishop, the Most Reverend Joseph Dabrowski, the 10th Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton.

The shields were installed as a traditional expression of the parish's unity with the Holy Father and with our bishop — a practice with deep roots in Catholic church decoration. Heraldic arms displayed at the entrance of a church visibly identify the community as part of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, ordered under the authority of its pastors.

Inside the church, accompanying portraits of Pope Leo XIV and Bishop Dabrowski have also been installed. Parishioners and guests are welcome to take a moment to note them on their next visit.

Bishop Dabrowski was appointed Bishop of Hamilton on November 1, 2025 and installed on February 2, 2026.

We are grateful for all who contributed to bringing these beautiful additions to our parish.
