Forty Hours Devotion

Join us for a powerful time of prayer and Eucharistic devotion as we conclude the calendar year in Christ.

Our 40‑Hour Devotion will begin at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, 31 December and continue without pause until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, 1 January. This is a special opportunity to spend extended time before the Blessed Sacrament, offering thanks for the year past and entrusting the year ahead to God’s care.

Why attend?

  • Deepen your love for Jesus present in the Eucharist.

  • Pray for our parish, our families, and the needs of the world.

  • Enter the new year renewed in faith, hope, and charity.

Our Goal: Perpetual Presence

To honour the Blessed Sacrament with reverent accompaniment, our goal is to have at least two people present in the church at all times during the 40‑hour period. Your presence—whether for 20 minutes or two hours—helps ensure continual prayer and fosters a spirit of community and devotion.

How to Participate

  • Sign up for one or more time slots (see below). Signups are available on Flocknote or in the church narthex.

  • Bring silent prayer, a rosary, a spiritual reading, or use the time for personal conversation with Jesus.

  • Priests will be available for confession at scheduled times; check the calendar for details.

Suggested Prayer Practices

  • Adoration and quiet meditation.

  • The Rosary or Liturgy of the Hours.

  • Intercessory prayer for families, the sick, and the Church.

  • Thanksgiving for graces received during the past year.

  • Resolutions offered to God for the coming year.

Available Time Slots

All time slots have at least one person signed up! We are aiming for two people per slot. Please consider joining one of the periods with a single volunteer and invite a friend or family member to come with you.
